Safari West

The Adventurous School Field Trip (Minimum of 20 people)
Adults $18; Students K-12 $10

This is the same tour as the Group Safari Trek, but only available to school classes K-12 and it is geared towards education and conservation. Teachers may book these field trips through our guest services. It is a field trip like no other!

African Queen Fieldtrip
(Minimum of 20 people)
One teacher per class free; Students (K-12) $10 per person; Adult Chaperones: $18 per person. (One chaperone needed for every 5-6 children.)

This is a 90-minute adventure fieldtrip led by one of our naturalists. Students and chaperones will board the African Queen, a 25-foot long trailer adapted with benches and a thatched grass roof for a journey through our savannah grasslands and breathtaking view of Watusi Lake, and then it’s time to explore on foot! The second half of the tour allows you to walk through our inner compound, where you’ll encounter giraffe, primates, and birds in our open-air aviary!

This tour can accommodate groups up to 80 students. Please also note that our tours are weather permitting, especially the African Queen safari trek. If we cannot do the driving portion of your fieldtrip, we will still try and do the walking portion and add other fun activities.

All school fieldtrips need to be booked through our guest services at (707) 579-2551. Alternately you may email us at info@safariwest.com.
All tours are by advance reservation only.

Please call to confirm one week before your fieldtrip. Bag lunches are permitted on the grassy area.
