About the Speaker:
Dr. Rubin is the founder and director of the Pacific Manta Research Group, which focuses heavily on the manta rays of the Eastern Pacific based at the Univ. of CA Bodega Marine Laboratory. Dr. Rubin’s research takes him to the Gulf of California, the Revillagigedo Archipelago, and beyond in his quest to conserve and understand these enigmatic creatures.
A non-scientific manta ray presentation was given as an invited TEDx talk here in Santa Rosa a few years ago (see Robert Rubin TEDx Sonoma on the web).
