Conservation Dinner Series:  Lorraine Barbosa from Oiled Wildlife Care Network joins us in the elephant room after dinner to give a talk about the veterinary care of oiled sea life. The conservation dinner series is complimentary to all dinner guests.

About the Speaker:

Lorraine obtained her veterinary degree and Masters of Preventive Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2010 and has since spent her time working as both a small animal and wildlife veterinarian. Her main focus has been on marine mammals, specifically pinnipeds (seals and sea lions), but during her years as a veterinarian, she has worked with a variety of wildlife, everything birds to bears. In addition to clinical work, Lorraine has also enjoyed collaborating on several marine mammal field research projects in Central and South America. In 2017 she became certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Preventive Veterinary Medicine, and in 2018 she began working as a veterinarian for the Oiled Wildlife Care Network at UC Davis, where she currently serves as the Senior Manager of Care Operations.
